Service Description

This weekly workshop is an introduction to the techniques of Chinese ink painting as well as the materials used. Different types of brush strokes, the way to hold the brushes, and methods in loading ink and water will be discussed as art learners explore the subject matter of from One of the four gentleman example: bamboo, chrysanthemum, plum blossom and orchid. The structures and forms of these plants will be taught through Step-by-step demonstration of art techniques and detailed explanation on the approach and methods, personalized instruction and advice based on individual artworks at each step. A special emphasis will be placed on brush technique and composition so you can learn with ease and enjoy the process of creating your very own Chinese Ink paintings.
